The Creeksiders Band
Classic Rock, Country, Americana and a Touch of Blues
The Creeksiders Band came to be when a rock 'n roll drummer from CA, moved in next door to a guitar pickin' die-hard country fan. As they got to know one another, they found they had more in common than not and driven by their love of music, they decided to start a band. Based in Ham Lake, Minnesota, they drew in additional members from the surrounding area, who shared their passion for the live music experience. Due to their varied interest the group plays a mix of classic rock and country, with a touch of blues and Americana.
This six-member group provides a full band sound with male and female vocalists, drums, lead guitar, bass, rhythm guitar and pedal steel. They cover a wide variety of artists, from Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and George Strait to Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley ... As well as The Eagles, Little Big Town, Seger, Mellencamp, Petty, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and many others.
Drummer Bill Mattison, had played with several bands out West. His passion for playing led him to start a band here in Minnesota. Once he discovered his new neighbor, Kevin Olson, played guitar and could sing, the concept of "The Creeksiders Band" began. They recruited lead guitarist, Jeff Campbell and began working on a setlist they could agree on. Jeff is up for any challenge or new song suggestion. It's impressive to watch his fingers flying as he brings it during solos. Vocalist, JD was next to join the group. She had been in another band and was missing that collaborative experience. Kim Hamilton joined as well, and brought the unique sound of pedal steel to the band. He's one of those talented guys that can play multiple instruments...As is, Mark Bee, who rounds out the band on bass. He also plays acoustic guitar at times and has a great ear for detail. Kevin and JD are blessed with versatile voices that allow them to cover different genres easily. Kevin can crush the rock and blues of Bob Seger, belt out those beer drinking songs and then turn on the smooth and mellow for more intimate duets. JD throws her passion into those fiery and fiesty "Done Me Wrong" songs, can rock out on the 80's icon tunes and will captivate you on soulful, sultry love songs. Their voices blend and compliment one another on duets, such as "Leather and Lace." Other members provide background vocals and promote audience involvement for that good time feeling.
The Creeksiders have enjoyed playing outdoor events such as Fall Harvest Fest/Rods n Rust Car Show, Music in the Park and at Sapsucker Farms near Mora. They look forward to a variety of new adventures soon and can't wait to play the Hinckley Corn and Clover Festival in July of 2026. The group is available for private events as well and has traveled as far south as Faribault, but prefers to stay a little closer to the Ham Lake area. Recently the band enjoyed entertaining bikers and classic car enthusiasts at Marge's Pub n Grub in Brook Park.
